Overview

We are seeking a strategic relationship builder with deep roots in the heavy civil and infrastructure construction industry to join our Talent Acquisition team as a Talent Relationship Specialist. This role is critical in driving proactive sourcing strategies, building strong talent pipelines, and fostering long-term relationships with industry professionals to support our organization’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify top talent within the construction sector for critical roles.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, trade associations, and community networks to create a sustainable talent pipeline.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and labor market dynamics to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Candidate Engagement: Engage passive candidates through personalized outreach, leveraging multiple channels (social media, networking events, referrals).
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver qualified candidates. Cultivate top talent list for current and future opportunities – both strategic and tactical.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent the company as an employer of choice within the construction industry through networking and outreach efforts.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Utilize sourcing tools, CRM systems, and analytics to track pipeline health and optimize sourcing effectiveness.
  • Process Improvement: Provide input on sourcing processes and tools to drive efficiency and continuously improve performance. Assist in mentoring team members on sourcing tactics and tools.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in candidate sourcing or talent acquisition, with at least 3 years focused in the civil construction industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of civil construction roles, certifications, and workforce dynamics.
  • Advanced sourcing skills including leadership and executive roles – Boolean, AIRS, internet mining
  • Skills: Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in sourcing platforms.
